Electroencephalogram (EEG)
Electroencephalogram (EEG)
Description
An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that records the brain's electrical activity. Although not normally a part of a pilot's routine medical examination, EEGs can be ordered if questions arise about head injuries, seizures, brain infections, sleep disorders, and other problems. The test measures electrical activity in the brain by means of small electrodes attached to the scalp.
